Categories
Use the Categories screen to organise and improve the searchability of your ILP elements.
It can be accessed by clicking the Categories option on the ILP Admin screen.
Use the Categories screen to:

To filter the list of categories, use the following fields at the top of the screen:

Type drop-down - use this to select the category type to display

Search all categories - use this field to enter the name of the relevant category. This searches across all category types. The list is updated immediately.

To add a category:

Select whether the category is for Questions and Targets, Reviews or ILP from the drop-down list.

Click the Add new link at the bottom of the screen.
A row is added to the grid.

Enter the name of the category. You cannot change the Type.
The name must be unique.

Click the Tick button.

To edit a category:

Click the ⋮ drop-down menu of the relevant record and then click the Edit option.
You can use the search field to locate a specific category, if required.

Enter or edit the name of the category. You cannot change the Type.
The name must be unique.

Click the Tick button.

Categories can be made inactive if they are no longer in use. Inactive categories are displayed in grey, provided the Include Inactive toggle is selected.
A category that is made inactive will not be available to be selected for future use, but if it is already in use, it will be unaffected and can continue to be used.
To activate or deactivate a category:

Select from the Type drop-down list or use the search to locate the relevant category, if required.

Ensure the Include Inactive toggle is selected if you want to activate an inactive category.

Click the ⋮ drop-down menu of the relevant record and then click the Mark Active or Mark Inactive option, as required.

Categories cannot be deleted if they are in use.
To delete a category:

Select from the Type drop-down list and use the search to locate the relevant category, if required.

Ensure the Include Inactive toggle is selected if you want to delete an inactive category.

Click the ⋮ drop-down menu of the relevant record and then click the Delete option.
A confirmation message is displayed.
